Lightbulb1 Tips on Getting Started

Before you start using PowerPressed we recommend that you take a couple of minutes to read the following Tips which will help you get the most out of this great product…

PowerPressed compresses and optimizes PowerPoint® presentations. The best results are seen on larger presentations. We recommend you use it on PowerPoint® files larger than 2MB in size that contain digital Images and other rich media files.
PowerPressed is very powerful so please ignore the usual temptation and don’t immediately compress using the ‘high’ setting. We recommend you initially select the ‘low’ setting which will give you excellent results. Then try using the ‘medium’ setting. ‘High’ is selected by users who need to have the smallest possible, aggressively compressed archive files, where visual quality is less important.
Make sure you use our integrated help files and FAQ’s to get the best results when using PowerPressed.
Always make sure you have ‘permission’ to alter the PowerPoint® file – if a presentation is password protected and managed you may encounter problems.
Always use the highest quality images in your original presentation. Your optimized presentation will directly reflect the quality of these images when it has been compressed. We can make superb images far smaller in size – still with excellent quality and resolution.
This release of PowerPressed does not compress embedded sound or video files, so if your presentation has a lot of this type of data the overall reduction in file size will be less….
Finally, if you want to try our optional settings always use ‘reduction in file size’ first. In more than 90% of cases this default setting gives the best results.
Enjoy using PowerPressed. Remember, PowerPressed ALWAYS creates a copy of the original first, so you can try as many different options and settings as you wish with no risk at all to your original presentation.
