What is Hub Licensing?
Hub Licensing is an effective means of managing large scale software deployments.

• A ‘Hub’ is a predefined group of Licenses with certain characteristics tailored to your requirements.
• We will provide you with a single, unique unlock key for your Hub to be distributed to your designated user group for straight forward, once only activation of the software.
• If you prefer, we can define your Hub so that only users with your company email address can register the add-in (this is a condition of a Site License).

What is a ‘Site License’?
A Site Licence is an unlimited Hub which is purchased for a fixed discounted price regardless of the number of users. It is a condition that our low cost customer support, POWERUP, is purchased along with the Site Licence to qualify for this pricing and that the number of users is stated when you make your order. Site Licensing also requires a company email address (for example @company.com) to be provided which will define the ‘Site’.

How does Hub licensing work?
When you order a PowerPressed Hub we determine your requirements and create a unique ‘Hub Policy Number’ for your business, this is used by each user to activate the software. You will have a predetermined number of Licenses in your Hub Policy depending on your order. You can deploy the entire Hub or ‘draw down’ when it is appropriate and add members to your user group as your business grows.

An ‘email filter’ (for example, @company.com) can be assigned to your Hub Policy when it is created or it can be left open ended. If an email filter is assigned, only activation requests from email addresses with that email suffix will be successful. This gives you visibility and control over who can register your licenses and ensures that your investment is protected.

We use the Fortresskey™ Hub Licensing System to securely manage registration requests by PowerPressed users.

When a new user hits the PowerPressed button for the first time they are prompted to enter their email address and ‘Hub Policy Number’ and submit. They are automatically connected to the Fortresskey™ Licensing Server which checks that the Hub Policy Number is valid, the total number of registration requests has not been exceeded and that any email criteria have been met before it unlocks the application.
